Homemade Cheese Potato Kebab

Make a tasty cheese potato kebab for a quick and simple supper dish. Mixed Serve these delicious kebabs with scrambled boiled eggs and green salad.

Cheese Potato Kebab

Ingredients:

1 kg potatoes

ÂĽ cup butter or margarine

1 onion, finely chopped

2 leeks, finely chopped

1 ½ cups Cheddar cheese, grated

One egg, beaten

1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

2 tbsp water

1 ½ cups breadcrumb

Vegetable oil for shallow frying

Salt and pepper

Fresh parsley sprigs, to garnish

Mixed green salad, to serve

Cheese Potato Kebab

Preparation Method:

Cook the potatoes in lightly salted boiling water until tender, Drain and mash them with the milk and butter or margarine.

Cook the onion and leeks in a small amount of salted boiling water for about 10 minutes until tender. Now drain.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the onion and leeks with the scrambled potato, grated cheese, and parsley or fresh chives.

Beat the egg and water together in a shallow bowl. Sprinkle the breadcrumbs into a shallow bowl. Shape the potato mixture into 12 even-sized round shape kebabs. Brush all the kebabs with the egg mixture then coat with the breadcrumbs.

Heat the oil in a large frying pan and fry the potato kebabs gently for about 2-3 minutes on each side until becoming light brown.

Garnish the Cheese Potato Kebab with flat-leaf parsley and present it as a spur in front of your family members or guests with the green salad.
