by Shamsul April 21, 2022

SWOT Analysis of Peloton

Working out on a daily basis can be hard but it is good for your health and mind. If you are a workout fanatic then you can understand the importance of exercise. During the pandemic, it was a struggle to go to the gym. Have you ever thought about a home gym? Yes, the concept is very popular and effective. Today, we are going to discuss the SWOT analysis of Peloton. It is an American company that sells workout products such as stationary bicycles, treadmills, and more. Moreover, they also provide internet service so that users can easily connect the equipment with media in order to follow the perfect workout routine.

By subscribing to their service, you can get access to all their exclusive workout programs. As a result, you can achieve your fitness goals without leaving your comfort zone. There are two subscription offers for users, one is a $39 per month program that provides regular classes for exercising along with cool workout features and the second is $12.99 per month program that provides access to the company’s official application and website.

Currently, Peloton has 2 fully functional studios and 123 showrooms. The company has a strong presence in the USA, the UK, and Germany. People can take workout classes in the studios and maintain their weight. It is very clear that the company offers really cool and innovative operations to users. Below, we will learn the working structure of Peloton. For this purpose, we are going to use the four key factors such as strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.

The first two factors are internal while the last two factors are external in nature. SWOT helps to identify the current standing of a company in the relative market. An organization can set its competitive advantage by utilizing its strengths and upcoming opportunities.

SWOT analysis of Peloton

Peloton Interactive, Inc.

Company Name: Peloton Interactive, Inc.

Founders: John Foley

Founded: January 3, 2012

Headquarters: New York City, New York, United States

CEO: Barry McCarthy

Type: Public

Sector: Exercise equipment

Tagline: Be the best version of yourself

Unique Selling Proposition:

Customers: Fitness enthusiasts, health-conscious men and women.

Target Consumers: People who want to stay fit and healthy.

Revenue: US$4.02 billion (2021)

Net Income: US$-0.189B, (2021) a 163.97% increase from 2020

Strengths of Peloton | SWOT analysis of Peloton

For many years, the company has been performing impressively. This excellent performance of Peloton is considered as its strength. There are several factors that are strengthening the company’s operations. We are going to highlight some of them,

  • Innovative Service:

You can see gym equipment everywhere but you can’t find exercise classes easily. Due to this reason, Peloton decided to offer an excellent workout experience by providing 123 showrooms and 2 studios. This unique service hits the people very powerfully and they start thinking about the home gym concept during the pandemic.

  • Consumer Base:

Due to its innovative services and unique product line, Peloton has won the trust of customers. They have a huge number of customers because of the services they provide. According to the latest reports, they have approximately 2.33 million subscribers. The retention rate of these customers is really high.

  • Vertical Integration:

Vertical integration is another popular part of Peloton’s process. In simple words, they do not only provide products to customers but also produce exercise machines. This aids the company to save its manufacturing and operating costs. It also gives full control and they can maintain the quality of the products.

  • Growth and Efficiency:

Currently, Peloton has been enjoying constant and decent growth because its subscribers are increasing day by day. The customers love to get their services because of the two subscription offers. It provides people a great commitment level to exercise daily.

Weaknesses of Peloton | SWOT analysis of Peloton

After reading the strengths, we know you are highly inspired by Peloton. But, the company is lacking in some areas that we are going to discuss in detail,

  • Limited Market Presence:

The company has a limited presence in the USA, the UK, Germany, and Canada. But, it is heavily dependent on the USA in terms of sales. It is a big weakness of the company and they should think about it. They must target other countries or markets for expanding their operations. By targeting other markets, they can achieve desired growth.

  • Limited Product Portfolio:

Peloton only sells two types of workout equipment such as bicycles and treadmills. They do not have vast range of products. They should introduce new workout equipment and accessories along with excellent programs to attract more customers. Some people can’t be able to use bicycles and treadmills due to their knee injuries. So, the company can produce alternate products to fulfill the demand of these customers.

  • Outsourced Service:

The company does not produce the programs that it offers to users. Actually, they outsource these programs from other countries. In case of any conflict, the company will suffer a lot. It is another major weakness of Peloton.

Opportunities for Peloton | SWOT analysis of Peloton

There are so many areas that can provide growth chances to Peloton. They just learn how to utilize these chances for gaining a competitive edge. They can be leaders in the sector by exploiting opportunities.

  • Covid-19:

The recent pandemic has destroyed every business and company but it brings a wonderful opportunity for Peloton. They can target households and provide them with home gym facilities. Peloton attracted customers who want to work out from home. They can motivate people by telling them about fitness and its advantages. In this way, the company can increase its sales and subscriptions. It is a new normal to work out indoors. Peloton has plenty of opportunities in this perspective.

  • Worldwide Expansion:

Peloton should invest heavily in research and development (R&D) in order to venture into new markets. They can also develop innovative products with this strategy. With research and development, they can find growth ways and build strategies carefully. There are so many people that will like their offers.

  • Increase Products:

The company can’t get the desired goal without increasing its product line. By increasing the product line, Peloton can take the competitive lead in the market which is also good for its profitability. This factor will also eliminate several weaknesses of Peloton. They can offer variety to customers and increase their customer base. These days, people are buying working out equipment for their homes and it creates a big opportunity for Peloton.

Threats to Peloton | SWOT analysis of Peloton

As a global company, you are highly exposed to several negative factors that we called threats in SWOT. Peloton should be careful about these factors in order to protect its business.

  • Competition:

For any business, competition is the biggest threat. The good thing is that there is no company in the market that offers exercise equipment with internet subscriptions, but the market is crowded with plenty of amazing treadmills and bicycles. So, the company is highly susceptible to any competition. Many people love to use exercise machines without any formal plan so it can also threaten Peloton’s programs and services.

  • First Mover:

Being a first-mover in any business is an advantage but not in the case of Peloton. As a first-mover in the company, the company has secured a huge chunk of the market but it is facing supply and demand issues. The market that they serve is not so diverse. So, the entry of new players can threaten the productivity and reach of the company.

To Conclude:

No doubt, Peloton is highly successful and serves millions of customers. They have strong strengths and have got several growth chances. They can convert their weaknesses into strengths or opportunities easily. Peloton has achieved immense success in such a short span. They need to produce more equipment and gym accessories to target more consumers.

Experience of People Living With Learning Disabilities and Mental Health Issues

by Shamsul April 17, 2022

Experience of People Living With Learning Disabilities and Mental Health Issues

Introduction

Learning Disabilities can be defined as significant difficulties that a child presents during school education corresponding to his age. The study of these disorders can be approached from different points of view that constitute, in fact, conceptual models of their origin –ethiopathogenesis– and specific models of corrective intervention (Boardman, Bernal and Hollins, 2014). We can group these models into cognitive, neuropsychological, psychopathological and social. We know that people with learning disabilities (LDs) are two to three times more likely to have mental health problems. When one has difficulty “showing what you know” one can expect to see an increase in the level of stress associated with school and the dropout rate. People with LDs are more likely to experience anxiety or depression and to have thoughts of suicide (Deb, Thomas and Bright, 2001).

If we consider the continuum of mental health-related to learning disabilities, we could say that the bulk of people with learning incapacities experience levels of stress and distress in the “yellow zone”, since school contexts and social are a constant source of strain. However, a number of learners may also experience mental health problems that interfere with their day-to-day functioning and bring them into the “red zone”. For these students with learning disabilities and mental health issues (MSDs) and their families, intervention may be necessary to help them participate actively in school, maintain peer relationships, and manage their intense behaviors and emotions (Bouras and Holt, 2003).

Supporting People with Learning Disabilities

There is a long history of recognition that there exist inequalities in the way in which people with learning disabilities are provided support by social and health services. Valuing People in the year 2001 emphasizes the need to determine how support is provided to people for leading a happy and content life with similar choices and rights that are given to other citizens. Both mainstream services and specialists should be delivering person-centered support which should have a higher standard (Cooper et al., 2007).

The researcher – Ted who is a pseudonym himself has gone through several experiences in his life. He had shared accommodation with other people who also had learning disabilities. Ted was initially diagnosed and prescribed treatment for schizophrenia and as such he was treated for this mental health issue as he indicated suicidal tendencies as well as mood swings related to paranoia. Within many community settings, the researcher himself has abused both verbally and physically to his care staff and fellow residents back home.

The methodology used for the recruitment of Ted was that of a purposive sampling approach. The criteria included adults over 18 years of age, residing in the community, having been diagnosed with learning disabilities, having been treated for mental health illnesses and having sufficient verbal skills which allow them to adequately communicate so as to convey information.

Discussion

In the First National Congress on the Prevention of Learning Disabilities and Dyslexia (1993), the conceptualization of learning difficulties as a developmental disorder is questioned, and it is suggested that perhaps this conceptualization should be rethought toward the consideration of learning difficulties as a permanent deficiency based on the idea of the persistence of AD throughout life and the presence of a neurobiological footprint in AD.

There is consensus in stating that the profile of adults is similar to that of children with AD, since the symptoms persist over time (Brown and Marshall. 2006), although their manifestations are different depending on the stage of development, and the Needs also vary based on age.

In any case, what must be taken into account is that the treatment must be structured taking into account the specific characteristics of the person who has learning difficulties. Of course, the work must be directed and supervised by a specialist in these types of difficulties. Not only will be important the type of exercise chosen but also the assessment of the attitude of the person with difficulties in their way of approaching the task that is proposed. In this sense, the role of the re-educator is fundamental since he is the one who observes, directs and models this attitude. For all this, a relationship and a bond are created between the student and the re-educator who, as in any type of therapy, plays a decisive role in the student’s recovery process (Gravell, 2012).

The Diagnostic Evaluation

A learning disorder, whatever the etiological factors involved, is inextricably linked to the overall development as well as the constitution of the child’s personality and character, as understood by the psychoanalytic conception; but we also take into account the social and family environment, both in their individual history and in the current situation (Hardy et al., 2007). For this reason, the diagnostic program necessarily includes:

The clinical assessment of the child’s personality. This evaluation allows a global appreciation of psychic functioning, considering both the cognitive aspects of language and psychomotor skills as well as the emotional aspects; In this way, a diagnosis can be established, either of a normal personality or of a possible type of psychopathological and developmental disorders.

The analysis of social and family factors, including the pedagogical situation

An in-depth study of the language and psychomotor skills is carried out if it is considered justified by the multidisciplinary team. The examination of organic factors (sensory, neurological, etc.) in collaboration with the pediatrician or various specialists, including the necessary complementary tests is important (Kerr, 2007).

Psychopedagogical Interventions and Specialized Pedagogy

Elsewhere we have seen the different general therapies that seem to be indicated according to the etiology of learning disorders described (Dagnan and Jahoda, 2006). As we have just seen, these treatments are very often combined with psychopedagogical support and specialized pedagogy. Let us remember that psychopedagogical interventions take different forms, such as individual treatments (Singleton et al., 2001) or interventions in institutions and specialized classes (Unison, 2006); but any psychopedagogical proposition has the sole purpose of sustaining the development process: to achieve this, the specialist relies on the non-deficit components of the subject’s functioning, in order to lead him to a “natural” compensation for the elements that are lacking in his developing. This work must be approached as a process of continuous promotion, that will favor the subject, a narcissistic and epistemophilic restoration: the restitution to the subject of his right to curiosity and to the personal structuring of the modes of categorization of reality constitutes psychodynamic support for their development and their capacity for self-training (Royal College of Psychiatrists, 2007).

Specialized pedagogy develops its specialty to become more and more effective based on the reference model that emerges from the research of the last decade, especially that concerning the very young child. It is an interactive model: objects from the outside world, real and symbolic, acquire meaning for the child through the use that adults make of them in their interactions with them. The assimilations / accommodations of cognitive development are rooted in sociocultural tactics and allow the acquisition of competencies that concur in the construction of identity. In this way, the essential didactic orientations of specialized teaching can be detached (Mansell, 2007).

Perspectives

The problem of the primary prevention of learning disorders is that of the situations and conditions that are in their origin and that are, to a large extent, emotional disorders (Hemmings, 2008). We have pointed out, in particular, the scientific finding that represents a better understanding of the mechanisms that are at the base of the difficulties linked to social origin. Secondary prevention would gain a lot if the etymological etiological evaluation could be done earlier, overcoming the various forms of resistance in the sterile theoretical debates about the pedagogical, psychiatric or organic nature of the disorders, which delays the indication and acquisition of specific measures. In addition, we also have the development of new forms of symptomatic intervention –short psychotherapies, psychopedagogy – as a complement to longer-lasting psychotherapeutic disorders (Hall et al., 2006).

10 Practices of Asian Girls to Stay Young

All girls have their unique methods of beauty and skincare, and these strategies vary from city to city. It is good to have some personal beauty routines, but it is always the best plan to find more details about what others do in order to integrate these valid options into your life. Today, we list some secret beauty routines and methods to make your life easier and younger. These methods are from the Asian girls who stay young, charming and gorgeous.

Multi-Step Cleansing:

Cleansing

This is best. Korean girls are a standard of beauty. They are famous for their nice and clean skin complexion. Would you like to have skin like the Korean girls? It would be great to focus on cleansing in order to remove the dead skin cells, diet, and dust from the skin. This method is simple. It doesn’t require any special technique or product. Women can use homemade cleansing solutions as well as commercial products. Start avoiding oil-based products because these may turn your skin more greasy. On the other hand, girls should try water-based skin cleansing products. These are best to turn the skin cheeky and soft. This method also ensures that your skin will remain beautiful and young for longer. You can read Six Beauty Secrets of Cucumber also

Moisturizing is the Key:

Moisturizing the body

Japanese girls usually prefer moisturizing products rather than using skin toners. Moisturizing brings the ph level of the skin down and ensures smooth blood circulation and oxygen supply. This does a better job for skin health and look. Find the moisturizers with hyaluronic acid. This ingredient is best for skin management. It allows the users to maintain the skin’s moisture level for longer.

Omega-3 for The Win:

Omega-3 importance

Omega-3 is a natural substance, and it is highly useful for skin care. With the passage of time, scientists, especially food nutritionists, discovered the great potential of this natural ingredient. Originally obtained from fish oil, this ingredient has outstanding health benefits. It is a great ingredient to treat skin pores and wrinkles. Would you like to get omega-3 without using supplements? It would be great to focus on shrimps and salmon. You can also use chia seeds, hemp seeds, algae and nuts. This is a great method for vegetarians.

Sheet Mask:

Enhance beauty with Sheet Mask

Natural ingredients such as fruits and vegetables are good for health. These contain essential nutrients good for the skin. These help to keep the skin youthful. Sheet masks are best for ladies. It is also possible to buy sheet masks from beauty stores. These fix the skin issues such as wrinkles, pores and fine lines. Masks also remove the dirt accumulating on the skin.

Lip Masks:

Glow Your Lips

Everyone knows that lips are the most sensitive part of the skin. These are in front and face harsh external factors such as temperature, sunshine, etc. Those who want to keep their youthful skin should focus on their lips. Lips should look beautiful and red. I prefer jelly balms or lipsticks to moisturize the lips. Forget the chemicals because these are dangerous. Bring natural products in order to make your lips and face more beautiful. Also, read 10 Best DIY Scalp Scrubs Great for Skin and Hair.

Sun Screen:

Use of Sun Screen

Sunscreens are a must whenever you go out. Whether it is mid-July or Mid December, it is necessary to wear sunscreen. With time, your face absorbs the ultraviolet rays, and it is essential to protect it. This absorption leads to several skin issues, such as chronic and acute. Exposure to UV rays hurts collagen production and leads to wrinkles and fine lines. Find the SPF 50 products because they are ideal for skin care and protection from UV rays.

Hydration is Not Only for the Face:

Hydrate your body

We usually talk about hydration and moisturizing. All the beauty experts are in favor of regular skin moisturizing. However, hydration is indeed not only for the face. Consider body hydration because it also affects beauty. It not only hydrates the body but also provides air to the skin. Your face will remain fresh and charming as long as it has proper hydration. Take cold or hot (lukewarm) showers depending on the season. Also, bring some creams that help to retain the moisture for longer.

Facial Fogs and Mists:

Facial Mists

These are trending in the beauty industry nowadays. Women like to keep these lightweight products in handbags. Applying fog or mist on the face, especially in extreme temperatures, provides proper hydration. It also creates moisture on the skin, pores, and lips. This habit offers a long-lasting effect. Controlling the hydration levels in controlled environments (air-conditioning) becomes problematic. Facial mists or fogs are the best options to ensure that your skin has optimum moisture. It helps to fight the dry air in the office.

Thick Eyebrows:

Girls Beauty

Undoubtedly, the trend of thick eyes is new, but it has roots in the beauty industry. Thick eyebrows were famous in ancient Egypt. Women in ancient Egypt used to keep their eyebrows thick and dark. This was a gesture of highlighting facial beauty. Recently, several models such as Amanda Seyfried, Emma Watson, and more came up with the idea of bright and thick eyebrows. This shows that modern-day beauty trends support this idea.

Try this amazing technique to keep your face young and beautiful for longer. On the other hand, it reduces the need for eyebrow trimming. It saves time as well as cost on beauty products. You can get knowledge about 12 Oriental Spices Help to Beautify Your Skin Glow.

Less is More:

It is necessary to consider the concept of “Less is More” when talking about makeup. It is a famous concept when it is about makeup. No doubt, facial makeup is essential, but it has certain limits. Girls who use heavy makeup end up in misery because of the fatty deposits on their faces. On the other hand, women should try to remove their makeup when they end the party or function. Wash the skin with certain cleansers and apply skin-nourishing agents such as serums for instant repair. It is a great habit to get rid of the deposits and other issues.

Statement of Purpose in the field of Civil Engineering

by Shamsul April 6, 2022

Statement of Purpose for the graduate program at the University of Washington

in the field of Civil Engineering

“Education is that tool that will put on the fastest track for the acquisition of knowledge as well as personality which will set one apart from the crowd.” This aspect is a bottomless hole where the more one pours himself into it, he will feel more thirst.’

Infrastructural growth and industrial practices are segments that harmonize the development of any economy globally. The modern-day society aims to attain sustainability and steadiness by setting up suitable infrastructure. My inclination towards this subject area was foreseeable owing to my interest in chemistry and physics in my last two years of schooling. Moreover, I was deeply attracted by the complication of contemporary buildings that required the appliance of IT tools at each phase of project designing, construction and administration. Therefore, my futuristic plans include contributing greatly to such creative and challenging areas of life. As I get admission in the most rigorous and competitive civil engineering programs, I have plans as to what I will be doing there. However, civil engineering is even more challenging yet interesting than I have imagined.

From the second year, I had a deep interest in gaining knowledge and subject in depth in place of securing marks only though I managed to put up good marks on the board. My uncle, being a civil engineer further fuelled my inspiration that defined my career goals.

Undergraduate Program in Civil Engineering

Post my years of the undergraduate program in Civil Engineering, I feel wholly content with my choice of opting engineering as my career preference since it exhibits the most practical and unassuming approach to dealing with human issues. My keenness, zest, the scope for improvement, and accessible opportunities in the area of Civil Engineering have stimulated my interest even further. However, undergraduate study is not the end of the journey toward competence and excellence.  I wish to contribute to potential world developments through consequential research and civil drawings, and honestly feel that undertaking a graduate degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from your revered University at this stage would be a superlative step on this path to success. Moreover, this will open newer avenues for exploration and will give a broad range of career options.

During the course of my under-graduation, I got my hands on comprehensive knowledge and all through my industrial training tenure, I was an integral part of an industrial building venture for a renowned name. My graduate program was edifying and demanding as tested my skills and proficiency at each level. Herein, I undertook the job of conducting a study of material testing and presented the designing of toughened inventive structures. I was also allowed to visit and become conversant with the art of surveying and was put through the diverse phases of Construction Management and Engineering. During this golden opportunity, I networked with the project engineers who actively partook in the revolutionary activities and this meticulously motivated me and strengthened my decision of pursuing Master’s in Civil Engineering.

My Strategy for the Graduate Program

At this juncture, I am quite confident, that when a make a transition to the graduate program, I will build my career on the stronger foundations that I have gained in the past few years. My strategy for the graduate program will be somewhat prolonged where I will consolidate my existing knowledge in a specialized manner and acquire as well as polish those skills that are essential for research. In civil engineering, my field of interest is Environmental engineering. This subject has started to gain a lot of prominence in the recent few years.

My priorities always included concept validation through realistic first-hand applications, and I proudly confirm that the internship, projects, and lab work I was exposed to only assisted me in comprehending the execution of various theories. The first project I was a part of entailed a building plan that demanded composite shafts and pillars, and the other project employed iron and carbon steel as strengthening forces. The construction durability was examined via MATLAB software, and it was then that I learned the systematic implementation of research and derivations.

Extra Curriculum

In addition to my past academic excellence and undergraduate distinction, I was also an active member of various volunteer groups like volunteering as a tutor at AL-Fursan Private High School, wherein I assisted students with an improved comprehension of physics, chemistry, and math and helped them improving their grades whilst receiving exceptional feedback from both parents and teachers. I was also an active member of Sydney’s Saudi Club and VP Academic in the Saudi association at the University of Technology. I have frequently been part of varied extracurricular activities. Moreover, I got the Full Scholarship from 2015- till now from the Ministry of Education – Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

I am applying to your college on the account of the excellent research facilities combined with a dedicated and distinguished faculty member. Seeking admission to your esteemed institution holds paramount importance in my career goals. With the combination of my theoretical knowledge and practical skills, you will find me well equipped to meet the requirements and expectations of the prestigious institution. I have full confidence that I have complete synchronization with your academic standards and will hope that you will consider giving me admission in your graduate study program.

Having made this statement of my set objectives, I completely believe that what the institution is looking for in its prospective student is having a strong background and the will to perform as well as deliver. Studying under extremely distinguished faculty members, a perfect environment inclusive of academic activities, along with state-of-the-art research facilities in the field of Civil Engineering are some very important factors that serve as my motivation to select your university.

Statement of Purpose for the graduate program at the University of Washington- Question’s Answer

Answer # 01

The biggest challenge that I have faced being a student is to complete tasks by breaking them down in steps along with checking over my daily progress. Work may pile up and deadlines were missed which led to frustration and inadequacy. Connecting with advisors or mentors helped in the creating and following of a manageable schedule along with the setting of daily tasks. The process took place through Check Boxes on paper which also developed a sense of achievement and made me feel good about my work.

Answer # 02

Graduate programs involve several tasks as the students are expected to study, conduct research, prepare assignments as well as balance classwork. I often struggle with the constant effort to study while maintaining my social life. In order to get the tasks completed efficiently and effectively as well as remain socially active, time management is very important. To cater this challenge, the idea of programming is considered to be effective as it will manage work/life balance and the stress that comes with it. Time management strategy includes creating a daily planner which will list the tasks that need to be accomplished as well as notes of upcoming tasks so that I get prepared for them. As the list gets completed, I will tick the task marking it as complete.

Answer # 03

As a part of my academic training, I have been a part of many projects that tested my potential and applied skills. I had a desire to work on projects that use alternative fuel sources for environmental conservation. I undertook the job of conducting a study of material testing and presented the design of toughened inventive structures. The letter of completion from the managing director back when I have finished my internship included

10 Characteristics of a Good Teacher

10 Characteristics of a Good Teacher

As the new academic year approaches, the teachers become more active. It is time to say “Welcome” to new students. Not only do they welcome the new students, but also find students who received their upgrades. This is a happy moment. Teachers like to impress the students in order to get more attention. They want to give them something special that will last for longer and work for life. This is why teachers should upgrade themselves too. This is time for them to find new improvements and correct the mistakes they made in the past. We talked about the best features of a good teacher. Many philosophers presented about them valuable points. Here are the top ten characteristics of a good teacher.

George Grant:

A good teacher always starts a new year with a fresh mind. He starts a new term, semester or even every day as a new day. Teaching sounds like a simple task. It may be simple for people who just read the books in front of students and say goodbye. However, it isn’t very easy for people who not only take the responsibility of academic but professional life of their students. Teaching is not a kid’s game. It demands more time.

It requires a teacher to prepare the lessons and find exciting ways to deliver. The mode of delivery is one of the most important features. Teachers who always come up with new delivery methods can easily win hearts. On the other hand, teachers who don’t start fresh usually fail to deliver a lecture according to the true meanings. So the very first thing all the teachers should use is the freshness of mind.

David Hicks:

Are you ready for questions? A teacher should always be prepared to have questions. He can’t impose his thoughts or opinions on students. This case is even worse at colleges and universities. Professors have to face challenges, especially when they develop new ideas. There are colleagues and staff. They have to deal with the students who learned about the old theories. A good teacher is always open to questions. He welcomes the questions in class or anywhere else. Students should not feel shy, or they should never hesitate while asking questions. Good teachers always promote the culture of asking questions. They love to hear from the students. It is an open-minded class culture.

In contrast, a bad teacher never welcomes the questions. He prepares old notes and delivers the same points to every class. This is why bad teachers don’t like questions. They have limited knowledge about the field of study. Those who love to find questions should also provide logical and satisfying answers to students.

Greg Wilbur:

Education has spiritual links. It has dimensions that go beyond knowledge. There is no limit to knowledge and learning. Students who are ready to learn more should get their chances. Teachers should be open to new things and findings. They should never cover themselves with old school theories. It has been observed that some teachers limit themselves with old knowledge. They don’t want to advance their knowledge. This is a bad example for the students. Remember, students follow their teachers. They make icons or ideals at the colleges. They adopt styles or certain professors and want to do their things in a special way. What if the students learn to use the old knowledge from their teachers? What if they learn not to learn new things? Teachers should be highly careful in this matter. They should set examples with their character, knowledge and behavior.

Spiritual connectivity is another thing. Teachers should try to have a spiritual connection with students. This is very common in the primary and secondary education systems. Students remember their school teacher forever. They may ignore the college or university teachers, but it is hard for them to forget the school teachers. This is due to the fact that they learn about the true nature of virtue from these persons.

Tracey Lee Simmons:

For a long time, most teachers used to burn the old notes and lectures. Nowadays, this routine is changing. Today, no teacher burns the old notes, lectures and presentations. They like to keep them in the archive. These are the basics. These old notes might be useful for the students who want to revise the basics once again. It happens in many cases. For example, some students feel that they are weak in certain aspects. They may need assistance to cover the knowledge gap. These old notes may be helpful for the students. Good teachers always keep a copy of basic notes. The practice is very common at the university level. Professors store the presentations, research papers, books and other materials in the library or repository.

No doubt, the old notes may not be more useful because of the recent advances, but these are always good to clear the concepts. This is why professors always like to keep the old notes, but they never stop improving the lectures. They improve the lectures every day. They use a superior’s class experience, student interaction, and guidelines to bring positive changes in the notes. This creates a quality set of information that is ready to upgrade the knowledge-base of students.

Tim McIntosh:

A link between student and teacher is similar to the tide of the ocean. It causes all the students to improve. Tim has several teachers but he likes the initial mentors. “No doubt, we usually ignore the initial supervisors after getting the modern professors, but initial mentors indeed have a primary role in background strengthening. They develop a strong background in academics. They are responsible for your academic and personal grooming. Great teachers always establish links with students. They never quit their connection with the students even after the passing out ceremony.

Cindy Rollins:

Education is a process of understanding and seeing. Teachers are the medium who bring us to this level. Education gives us a clear idea about the specific fields and professions. It makes us able to understand complex things. It allows us to develop complicated things. Education provides us a chance to find the answers to technical questions. This is why teachers are always important. A good teacher always takes care of these things. He never underestimates the potential of any student. He sees everyone as a master class. A good teacher not only teaches the syllabus but also provides insights. He tells the students to broaden their knowledge about old and new things in order to ensure progress in life.

Andrew Kern:

A good teacher has a set of useful habits. He learns about the context before teaching any lesson. Andrew tries to find full command of the topic before presenting it to students. He learns the skills before preparing students. For example, a swimming teacher can not prepare a team of good swimmers if he doesn’t know how to swim. This is why modern teachers, especially science teachers, master all the basic skills and techniques before joining their students.

Peter Vande Brake:

For sure, there are numerous habits a good teacher may have. However, curiosity is the key. A good teacher should be curious. In normal cases, we learn that students should be curious. This is good but a teacher should also be curious in order to balance the matter. A group of curious students may not learn the right things if they don’t have a curious teacher. They may end up learning something else while trying to have skills relevant to a technical field. Therefore, it is necessary for the teachers to master all the skills and techniques. Curious teachers are an asset.

They are always progressive and ready to learn. They accept the changes immediately and don’t require solid references to modify their previous practices. According to Brian Phillips, classical knowledge is the basic requirement. Learning classical knowledge may not benefit the students. However, teachers can turn classical knowledge into applied knowledge with the help of their curious nature. They can introduce more interesting points to investigate. This is how modern day science progresses. So then, curiosity stands as a superior habit of good teachers.

 Brian Phillips:

Given the possible readership for a creative list, it may sound strange to say it. However, ongoing learning is the best habit of a successful teacher. No teacher can stand in the field without upgrading his knowledge. The knowledge and learning requirements are changing with everyday passing. Nowadays, students want to have modern knowledge. They want to be successful in the professional field. It is only possible when they learn something modern and different from their seniors. A teacher should be open to new subjects, topics and techniques. He must get command of the new things in order to fulfill the modern requirements of students. A teacher who learns new things and has modern knowledge is a blessing for students.

Schools are old places where students see the basic syllabus. However, basic coursework is not enough to support them in modern day life. This is why students go to colleges and universities. They have the curiosity to gather new knowledge. This curiosity should also be present in the teachers. A college or university that encourages the teachers to learn new things gets more recognition in society. This is how famous universities such as Harvard, Oxford and others create a prestigious status in the world education system.

Joshua Gibbs:

It may sound funny but a good teacher always eats and drinks well. This is a quality habit of a good teacher. In modern societies, teachers are very busy. They don’t have time for families and social activities. However, there is something that they can’t ignore. This is a diet. Good eating and drinking habit makes a perfect teacher. The teachers need to remain in good health in order to deal with daily life activities. They must keep the sickness and illness away.

The teachers must set a good example in front of students. They should teach their students to balance academic life with health. They should be role models in this matter. A good teacher has to attend several functions at academic places or in society. Their students keep inviting them for weddings, anniversaries, or other corporate events. Teachers who have good eating and drinking habits can survive in this routine without affecting their health.

Matt Bianco:

How can teachers support the classroom activities? They have to learn how to avoid the lectures going in from one side and getting out from the second side. Teachers can make their lectures more entertaining. This is a common cause for teachers of some rough subjects such as mathematics and chemistry. They have to find interesting ways to make the classroom environment pleasant. Failing to do this may affect the learning process. The students will not take interest in the lecture if it is extremely rough. This is why most students don’t like to have educational degrees in mathematics and other similar subjects.

A good teacher explains all the steps of an academic topic and encourages the students to ask questions. He prepares the questions in mind. He expects that students may ask these questions so finding the answers becomes more important for him. Classic activity is another interesting way to make the lessons more attractive. In some cases, teachers assign topics to groups of students. This is an old technique but it comes up with new outcomes. A good teacher always provokes the students to ask questions. There is no need or reason to discourage this activity. Encourage the students to study the topics with friends after university time. Let them appear with certain questions. Decide a special hour for technical discussion. All these things come when both teachers and students are curious about the matter of learning.

Is the Pomodoro Technique really helpful?

The Pomodoro Technique is based on manageable and short work blocks that contain specific breaks or intervals. According to experts, this method is not so suitable for larger tasks due to its inflexibility. They consider this thing as an obstacle in this method.

So, the Pomodoro Technique can be counterproductive in some cases. And, you can’t apply this system to different numbers of fields. But, you can modify the interval time in some cases. For example, if you are a creative writer and working on a long project, then taking a break of 25-minute can stop your creativity and writing flow.

Due to the inflexibility of the Pomodoro Technique, you can’t achieve your desired results sometimes. Some people work better in a stress-free environment, and they do not like the pressure in the form of breaks.

Moreover, the Pomodoro Technique can create so many distractions itself. But so far, this method has proved helpful in resisting distractions and increasing productivity.

To gain the maximum benefit of this technique, you must learn it comprehensively. If you are looking for other productivity-boosting techniques, you can try Eisenhower Matrix or ALPEN Method to improve your working process.
