This happened because Pakistan’s Parliament ended its work three days before its usual five-year term was supposed to finish. The previous PM, Shehbaz Sharif, and the opposition leader, Raja Riaz, decided to choose Senator Kakar as the interim Prime Minister of Pakistan.
