How to make Pineapple Katli at Home

Pineapple Katli is also known as Pineapple Burfi. It is a delectable Indian sweet that combines the tropical flavor of pineapple with the traditional richness of burfi. This delightful treat is made by cooking fresh pineapple pulp with sugar, milk and a pinch of cardamom until it thickens to a fudge-like consistency. The mixture is then spread into a flat dish, allowed to set, and cut into diamond-shaped pieces. Often garnished with slivers of almonds or pistachios and a touch of edible silver leaf (varak),

Pineapple Katli is a vibrant and refreshing twist on the classic burfi, making it a perfect addition to festive celebrations and special occasions. Its unique mix of sweet and tangy flavors is sure to captivate the taste buds of anyone who tries it.

Ingredients:

Pineapples, finely chopped    2 cups

Caster Sugar – 2 cups

Cashew Nuts, finely chopped – 1 cup

Ghee – 2 tsp

Pineapple Essence a few drops

Yellow Food Color a few drops

Coconut, shredded to garnish

Preparation Method:

Bring a frying pan and heat up over the medium heat.

Put in the chopped pineapple and stir fry for 3 minutes.

Take it out of the pan, let it cool a bit, and use a grinder or food factory to grind it into a fine pulp.

Shift the fine pineapple pulp again into the frying pan, add sugar powder and cook over the low heat for 3-4 minutes.

Add yellow food color, pineapple essence, cashew nuts paste and ghee. Stir until the mixture becomes thick.

Transfer this thick mixture to the lubricated plate and leave it until it is cool.

Before it becomes totally cool, flatten it, garnish it with shredded coconut, and cut into the desired shape.

You can serve Pineapple Katli now or store it in a preserved container. Cook Awesome with wiselancer and Enjoy!
