Cheese Bread Rolls Recipe

Cheese bread rolls are a delightful combination of fluffy bread and gooey cheese, making them a perfect treat for any occasion.   • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 packet dry yeast
  • ¾ cup of warm water
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (Any type)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (optional)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced (optional)
  • Additional olive oil for brushing
  • Additional shredded cheese for topping (optional)

In a bowl, mix warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until the mixture becomes foamy.

In a large bowl, combine flour and salt. Make a well in the center and pour in the yeast mixture and olive oil. Mix until the dough forms.

Transfer the ready dough to a floured surface and knead it for about 6-7 minutes or until it becomes smooth and elastic. If the dough is too sticky, you can add a little more flour.

Place the dough in a well-greased bowl and cover it with a clean kitchen towel. Keep it in a warm place for about 1 hour until it rises or it doubles in size.

To make filling, take a small bowl and mix together shredded cheese, chopped parsley, and minced garlic (if using).

Assemble the rolls: Punch down the risen dough and divide it into 12 equal portions. Flatten each portion into a small circle and place a spoonful of the cheese mixture in the center. Fold the edges of the dough over all the filling and pinch to seal and form a ball.

Place the balls on a baking sheet. Make them lined with parchment paper, leaving some space between each roll. Cover them with a kitchen towel and wait for another 30 minutes.Meanwhile, start heating the oven to 190°C (375°F).

Take a brush and roll with olive oil.  

Bake the rolls in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until they are golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving.
